Cyber Awareness Training
- Go to https://public.cyber.mil/training/cyber-awareness-challenge/
- Click on "Launch Training"
- Select "Start New Session"
- Follow the instructions provided within the training course.
Standard vs Knowledge Test
There are two different methods to take the test.
Standard
- Standard is the long version of the Cyber awareness training, typically taken by non-cybersecurity employees/contractors.
- This version takes about 1 hour more or less.
Knowledge
- The knowledge check is for those employees/contractors that do cybersecurity everyday and have very advanced knowledge of the topics.
- If you start the knowledge check and answer incorrectly you will reverted to the standard challenge.
Certificate
- All sections must have a green indicator light to the left of the topic
- Type your full name into the certificate
- Save the Certificate and attach it to your task
- Change the task to "In Review"
- Change the Assignee to your immediate Supervisor
This course is mandatory for all DoD personnel with access to controlled unclassified information. It provides information on the eleven training requirements for accessing, marking, safeguarding, decontrolling, and destroying CUI, along with the procedures for identifying and reporting security incidents. This course also fulfills CUI training requirements for industry when Government Contracting Activities require it for contracts with CUI requirements.
NOTES:
- This course and exam may be taken an unlimited number of times.
- Students will receive a certificate for the course after passing the exam with a 70% or better score. Please note that bookmarking is unavailable because the exam must be completed in a single session.
- Students are encouraged to print or save a copy of the certificate as evidence of completion, as CDSE does not maintain records of course completions from this site.
- The course will run best on Edge Chromium, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. Pop-ups must be enabled.
- For those using assistive technology, the following keyboard shortcuts have been added to this course:
