This position is 100% Remote
Responsibilities
- Support Day 2 operations for engineering, tackling the to-do list and keeping systems healthy
- Assist in deploying and maintaining new instances of our open-source infrastructure
- Regularly update and patch Linux systems, Kubernetes clusters, and virtual machines
- Follow our strictly enforced processes and procedures—compliance matters
- Support recurring system maintenance tasks (updates, backups, health checks)
Must Have
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration
- Experience working with Kubernetes, GitLab, Python, CloudStack, YAML, and other open-source tools
- You’re comfortable in the terminal and can troubleshoot without needing a GUI
- You think about cybersecurity before you type any command
- You’re detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to work independently
Nice to have
- Experience with Ansible or Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Familiarity with open-source monitoring or logging stacks
- Experience working in a compliance-heavy environment (FedRAMP, CMMC, etc.)
- You care more about doing the work than flashing degrees or certs—we do too
